Giveaway: Posterjack Photobook

This week we’re so thrilled to be working with Posterjack to do a fabulous GIVEAWAY!

I’m a long time scrap booker and photobook maker, and for years I have been working with Posterjack to create custom framed prints. I’ve evolved my photobook making over the years and really appreciate the service that makes it super simple and easy to create a gorgeous Flay Lay Photobook. We love to keep ours on display to remind us of our memories.

If you follow us on Instagram, you’ll know we did an incredible Europe trip this summer! We were so lucky to be able to travel from Paris to Santorini, Paros, Mykonos and Athens. And it just so happens that both my boyfriend and I LOVE photography and documenting our trips, but my boyfriend really took it to the next level.

This is one of the things I wanted to share here. While it is also lovely to pop iPhone photos into a photo album and have it printed, if you are ready to level up your game, consider investing in a real camera and spending time editing all your images to get them cohesive. I think that’s what makes our photobooks so special is that we took the time to edit, create a preset in Light Room, and select the images that would really tell the story of our trip.

All this to be said, I’ve created a quick You Tube video of the process of how make the books, and just how simple it is.

I’ve broken it down into four really simple steps. Although simple, it can feel like a time investment, so I would recommend breaking it up into different days.

  1. Take your photos! Go crazy documenting your favourite moments. Maybe it’s a wedding, a birthday, a trip, a puppy, a best friend, a loved one. We really believe in celebrating the little and big moments. Capturing these moments will make photobook making SO much easier!

  2. Select and edit your images. Create a folder, either on your phone or your computer, and start to select your favourite shots. Take these favourites and edit them using Light Room. There are super simple Presets available, or you can create your own. If we hype up my boyfriend enough, I’m sure he will share his too! I find creating a cohesive look across all the photos is what really tells the story the best.

  3. Upload all the images into Posterjack software. They have a fabulous online program you can use to create the layout of your book. All you have to do is sign up for their website, load your images and select the layouts for each of your pages and drag and drop your images. Voila!

  4. Place your order and wait for the masterpiece to arrive! We were beyond thrilled with the quality of the pages, the Flay Lay Photobook is really the best on the marker of photobooks. We loved the matte finish and all of the quality prints. We only had to wait a couple of days to receive ours, but of course if you’re ordering around busy times of year you might have to wait a little longer. The beauty of the software, you can create your books ahead of time and order them when you’re ready!

  5. Extra tip - keep them on display so your friends and family can come over and flip through your photobooks. You can also add text to yours so there are lots of ways to tell stories. We love the clean, simple look, and we think the images speak for themselves!
