House & Home Cover!

We’re over the moon excited to announce that MPD is on the COVER of House & Home Magazine March 2023 issue!

We couldn’t be more honoured and thrilled with the COMMUNITY of creatives it takes to put this together. Let me first start by saying I have held myself accountable for my own personal manifestation, really diving into my dreams in 2021. I remember the day when I wrote this down and thought “you’re crazy, in your wildest dreams” but I also thought “DREAM BIG”! What fun is dreaming if you aren’t shooting for the moon!

When I really started to manifest the team I wanted to build, I couldn’t imagine it without CeCe. Along with so many other designers, I’m so blessed to have her keep this business organized, thoughtful while she allows me to be the creative designer. And our incredible MPD Team, who is so hardworking and put themselves into every project we do whole heartedly.

I remember falling in love with Lauren Miller's photography work and her unique eye and attention to detail. I really feel she has her own creative voice and has honed her skill through such an artistic background and working with so many talented designers and creatives. She truly has an ease, calmness and confidence to her that is so soothing on these crazy shoot days, and her trained eye is impeccable!

The same can be said for Me & Mo, who are a powerhouse team of stylists with too much talent to even squeeze into words! I could immediately see that they all love what they do, they love collaborating together, and they all have this ease and confidence with their creative output. I’m in awe and admire them all women making their mark on the design scene - which why I think it truly takes an entire community of creatives to put together these moments.

I’m also grateful to our wonderful clients. This was not an easy project, sometimes the best outcomes really do require us to survive some heartaches. They sacrificed a lot to get it to the finish line (patience, the pandemic), but I’m honoured to call them friends and to have been a part of this project with them. They both had a vision for this space, and I feel like the best projects happen when clients get to discover their inner designer and see themselves in the selections and final outcome.

The team at House & Home has been truly the most generous and welcoming. I’ve not only grown up reading and admiring the pages of this magazine, I’ve also had the privilege of working for some of the most talented designers who have been featured on their own covers, and inside the pages of this publication. I’ve always been so proud to be a small part of that community and cheering them on as they continue to make strides in the creative world.

And as cheesy as it sounds, this cover in my heart is for my creative powerhouse parents. The look in their eyes of pride when all I can think to myself is how they’ve always believed in me, encouraged me, mentored me, guided me through this creative world, given me glimpses into their creative minds and worlds, meeting their creative connections and really learning an appreciation for the community of creative it takes in all fields to make magic happen. The fact that my mum has already framed the cover and called every store to pre-purchase their inventory of H&H issues…I’m forever indebted to their unconditional, unwavering love and support.
