We often get clients “hunting for a deal”, and sometimes our big box retailers will offer similar styles at different price points. Although at MPD we DO believe in investing in counter stools you love, based on quality, comfort and durability, there are deals to be had! This is one our favourite examples:

Woven counter stools have always been an MPD favourite. They can bring in some texture an warmth into what can sometimes be a very “new” space. From the cupboards, to the counter tops and the new floors, we believe the lighting and the furniture are ways to bring in some personal touches.

Sticking with the theme of high-low and variations on a theme. We loved the introduction of a half-moon shape when it comes to counter stools.

We also have our classics, which we love and always suggest going with a Perrenials durable fabric in a custom cushion. But if you don’t want to splurge in this area, there are great dupes these days, and you can always have cushions made afterwards.

Last, but certainly not least, we love these aesthetic of these woven stools, which come in so many variations. This particular counter stool has a soft spot in our hearts. You will be seeing it featured in an upcoming House & Home article. It was such a whirlwind locating these gorgeous stools, and we ended up driving around the city for 2 days to find them in stock and available in time for our shoot. We’re so curious what you think, but we think they are the perfect mix of textural and nostalgic, and helped bring the entire kitchen together!
